Job Title: Director of Contemporary Music

Work Area/Department: Worship/Music and Christian Arts

Reports to: Rev. Dr. James A. Keeton, Jr., Senior Pastor

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
• Accompany the praise team and choirs.
• Travel with the senior pastor when requested.
• Work well with other musicians within the music ministry.
• Be available for all rehearsals and engagements.
• Attend all regularly scheduled church functions.
• Perform related duties as assigned by the senior pastor.
• Maintain compliance with all church policies and procedures.

 

Skill and Work Experience Requirements:
• Must have a strong Christian foundation.
• Must have at least three years of prior experience as a church musician.
• Must have excellent skills on the organ, the piano, and/or keyboard.
• Must have ability to read music, playing by ear a plus.
• Must be able to play in all keys.
• Must be able to teach vocal parts.
• Must have highly developed interpersonal skills.
• Must have excellent verbal communication skills.
